NIKE AIR MAX 1 ’86 OG
This year’s Air Max release is especially noteworthy because 2018 marked the 35th anniversary of the original Air Max model. In honour of Nike’s annual Air Max Day on March 26th, these kicks have arrived. The rubber outsole of these trainers features an extended Air unit that is meant to evoke the style of the original. The toe to the Swoosh is covered in a scorching collegiate red overlay, making this colorway perfect for the summer. The sneakers’ mesh uppers and suede overlays are a more understated material type in honour of the milestone.
NIKE AIR MAX 1 PREMIUM
In 1987, Nike introduced the world to the Air Max 1. Still going strong after 36 years, the series offers a wide variety of styles and colorways that will elevate your trainer collection. This Crepe’soft grey pair’ is the most up-to-date iteration, and it features a smooth grey overlay over a canvas fabric of a lighter colour. The Shima Shima, just revealed from concealment, gazes once more onto the Air Max 1. This Air Force 1 isn’t a recreation of the 2003 models in every way, but it does pay homage to the classic design by fusing elements from both the brown versions and the other colorways. These trainers update the nostalgic look of the early millennial era by combining brown tones with the AM1’s iconic colour blocking of grey and white. The inner pinstripe and brown Swoosh and mudguard are unmistakable identifiers of the 2003 releases, as is the red Japanese text.
